Runescape Tip: Make Money With Mining

By Stephen Warren

Mining is very important, as ore pretty much fuels the game. If there was no mining, then there would be a much less diverse variety of weapons and armour available, making the game pretty dull.

That's why it's important to get your mining skill up.

From level 1-20 you should mine copper from the south varrock mine From level 20-40 you should mine iron from the mine near rimmington or varrock

When you reach level 40, it should be much easier to mine coal. You can mine coal at level 30, but it will take much longer, besides, if you level up with the other ores, you can either make money by selling them or you can keep them and maybe use them later (I recommend this method, it's more profitable).

I also recommed that you buy and adamantite (Or adamantine I always forget how you spell that) or rune pick axe.

A good place for paid runescape members to mine coal, is at the mine near ardougne, which also has a bank fairly close by, this will speed up your mining and make you more efficient.

If you're a free runescape member, you can mine coal in the dwarven mines, however there isn't a bank nearby, so you wont be very efficient.

Now, mine coal until you're level 60

Since you're level 60 you can go to to mining guild to mine coal until you're level 85

And now that you're mining level 85, you should go and mine rune in the wilderness or from the heroes guild (Much safer). Rune seller for between 10,000-15,000 per piece, so I think you'll agree that it's certainly worth the effort to do it.

When following the steps above, I strongly suggest that you keep all of the ore you get and smith it into something useful. Otherwise, feel free to sell it and see some immediate return for your efforts

I hope you enjoyed this quick tip. If you've subscribed to my newsletter, you'll recieve the next quick tip tommorrow.

World of Warcraft Easy Gold

By Marty Rubenski

If you are an online gamer and have played Blizzard’s World of Warcraft for more than a couple of hours, you will know just how frustrating it can be to be short of gold, the in-game currency. You need a ton of gold for any decent item or weapon in the Auction House (AH). It even costs to travel any distance if you don’t want to walk.

So, what are the easy ways to gather gold?

The most important thing you can do is to have the right professions at an early level. You can train for two different professions at level 5 in any major city. Many professions will actually cost you a bunch of gold for materials and won’t make you anything until the highest levels. This is not what you want at all. The only Warcraft professions that will actually make you some money at low levels are the gathering professions; herbalism, mining and skinning. You can literally gather up items at no cost and sell these in the AH for a good sum of money. I suggest you take up mining and skinning to start with. You can skin any dead animal and receive a variety of leathers. Light leather is always a hot selling item in the AH and can be gathered quickly as you level. Mining will gather copper, tin and iron ores. These can be smelted to bars and sold in the AH to eager blacksmiths.

Fishing is a skill that is often overlooked as a Warcraft easy gold maker. It’s a secondary skill, which means it can be learned in addition to your two primary professions. You can make 30 gold an hour with little effort on most servers. The fish in most demand are Deviate Fish, Stonescale Eel, Oily Blackmouth and Firefin. Check the prices for these in the AH on your server and start fishing.

Enchanting is another profession to consider and can make considerable amount of gold without ever leaving your home city. Since you main character is limited to the two main professions, I often roll another level 5 character just to practice enchanting. The secret is to concentrate on disenchanting. Any low-level green item can be disenchanted to create the basic enchanting materials such as Strange Dust or Lesser Astral Essence. You can purchase green armor for 5 silver or so, disenchant the armor to it’s basic components and put the components straight back in the AH on sale for 20 silver.

One important note for selling in the Auction House always, always include a Buyout price. Nine times out of ten, if somebody wants the item, they want it NOW and are willing to pay top price to avoid waiting.

There are many more techniques for World of Warcraft easy gold visit my blog at http://warcraft-gold.blogspot.com for more tips.

How to Save Money On Video Games

By Richard Heaney

If you are a keen video game player like myself you will know the fun and excitement that can come from buying a new game for you game system. However there is a catch, these games are really expensive! It does not matter which games console you own, new games for Xbox, Playstation and Gamecube are all highly priced.

We understand that some games do have high development costs, the programmers, sound engineers, animators and testers all have to be paid. But once a game is finished it can sell all over the world and some titles sell in really large quantities. The game development houses must make a serious amount of profit, most customers pay the full retail price for their new games.

One way of saving money on video games is to buy from wholesalers. Now I know that in general wholesalers only sell in bulk quantities. It's not much use to you in having 100 copies of the latest game, you can only play 1! But now there are some wholesalers who sell in single units. The thing to do is search on line for wholesalers which sell the games you are interested in that also sell single units. Using this method you can save up to 60% off the retail price for your brand new video game.

Another option is buying and selling second hand video games, it is not as difficult as you might think. Once you have finished playing a game you can take it to your local game exchange store where you can swap it for a new game or cash. This is a great way to save money on video games, how many old games do you own which you know you will never play again? You might as well sell them when you have finished playing with them and use that money to buy your next new title.

You can also sell your used video games on eBay, there is a good market for games on the auction site and you can often get a better deal than if you take your old games to a game exchange shop. If you do this it is worth noting that games drop in price as they get older. If you try to sell your games as soon as you are done with them you will get a better price.

Now this method is better than saving money on video games – you can actually get them free! Games developers require game testers to check out their new titles before they go on general release. You may not know this but you do not need any special skills or qualifications in order to test games. If you know the right people to contact and you go about it in the correct way you could become a video game tester. They send you a copy of the game they want tested along with how they want you to report on the game. You play the game, fill in the report and send it back to them. You can get paid anything from $8 - $80 per hour to test games, you just sit back and wait for the cheques to come in. A great perk of the job is that you get to keep the games you test, if you become a game tester you may never have to buy a new game again!

Nintendo Wii, a Real Revolution?

By John Gibb

After the release of the Xbox and PS2, in the highly competitive world of video gaming consoles it appears like Nintendo was pushed out of the game. Now, with the brand new Xbox 360 and the soon to be released PS3, Nintendo needs to definitely do something cool in order to keep up with the 2 giants that are leading the game so far. Nintendo’s answer to this situation is the in-development-stages Nintendo Wii. Hopefully, this will be a console capable of competing with Xbox 360 and PS3. Will Wii really manage to give Nintendo a breath of relief? Well, only time can show.

Nintedo Wii has been in development for quite some time now. The initial name of the project was Nintendo Revolution but later on, the guys at Nintendo decided to change it’s name to “Wii” (it’s pronounced we). The console itself is a black (it can also come in other colors, that’s a common practice by Nintendo), sleek, rectangular box with a blue, beautiful, LED illuminated slot-receiver. The exterior follows the concept ‘keep it simple and effective’ and it’s completely different from the flashy Xbox 360.

Leaving the eye-candy aside now, let’s talk about the actual features of the Wii console. First of all, Nintendo promised that the Wii will bring a whole new gaming experience upon it’s arrival. Part of the implementation of this plan is a small controller that comes along with Wii. Although it appears just like a simple TV controller, it contains motion sensors; this feature will be utilized in various gameplay aspects. For example, Titles such as Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and Red Steel take advantage of the new controller technology in order to provide the player with an effective way to aim.

Regarding interior hardware aspects of the Wii, what we know by the moment is that it will be equipped with an IBM CPU, an ATI graphics card and a RAM memory of 512MB. Of course, it features wireless controllers, 2 USB ports and a built in antennae for WiFi internet access. Saddly for those who consider it a must, Wii will not support HD output but it still has the potential to look pretty good on a HDTV due to its wide screen friendly mode and the 480p progressive scan.

The last thing to add is that Wii features an amazing backwards compatibility feature. You can play literally any game that Nintendo has ever produced. Yes, even retro games! Finally, another good thing about the Wii is that it will come at a very affordable price; according to Nintendo it is going to cost something less than 250$!

Sony: Will PS3 Save this Company?

By Dennis Biray

With the recent announcement that Sony (SNE) will delay its PS3 launch in Europe, a similar reaction should be based in your mind of whether to buy or sell your shares of this company. With such a shaky corporation in terms of announcing favorable information, the confidence in buying shares of Sony has dropped as shown by its stock the past few months. With the added problems of having the major laptop producers having to recall the specific Sony brand batteries, such a situation does not pose well for this corporation and its shareholders.

Speaking in terms of fundamentals, Sony has done terrible the past few years. Supposedly to be represented as a strong player in the technology sector, margins have proven to provide counterarguments. Having negative margins the past three years does not ease any shareholder’s concerns. While some investors may argue that many companies still post negative margins and receive a favorable capital gain, with the added problem of having these negative fundamentals during a time when technology is supposed to sell more rapidly from one year to the next, such numbers are embarrassing for a company of Sony’s nature. While some analysts have noticed such a trend and reduced their EPS estimates, Sony does seem to surprise investors and beat most of them but with the negative effect of not showing such resiliency in its cash flows or balance sheet. Along with negative operating margins and poor profit growth, I would be wary for both long and short term investors wanting to get into this stock.

In terms of technical analysis, Sony is as volatile as it gets. It’s true there are bursts of growths and sparks over the past few years, but the overall trend has been downward after its terribly overbought status during the early parts of the millennium. From 140 to 40 points is a large margin, even for the technology sector, but is equally represented by its poor fundamentals. With the added problems of a delay in its PS3 launch and the batteries having to be recalled, don’t look for consumer or institutional confidence to increase in relation to buying more shares.

Some investors may argue that it is possible that Sony is in trouble currently but, in the future when the PS3 launches and the battery problem is fixed, Sony should be a very low price and ready for a rally. While there might be truth in such a sentiment, think about when the PS2 launched about six years ago. Sony was at its peak then and Sony shares have only gone down from that point regardless of the fact that Sony won the console war against Nintendo and Microsoft. With the PS3 launching during a time when a recession is inevitable and consumers should spend left, don’t look for Sony to provide any capital gains in the near future.

Life II: The Ultimate Virtual Reality Experience

In the future Virtual Reality may become the future addiction of mankind and it could very well replace drug and alcohol addiction in the human race. How so you ask? Well in the future you would not need a library full of DVD Video Computer Games, as you would only need One; which one you ask? And how can that even be possible with all the selection out there and the many companies competing for the consumers gaming dollar?

Well here is how it would work. Every game would be the same game and all games could be merged. How can this ever come to be? Well consider the Fifth and Sixth Generation of video games or even the Seventh, Eighth and Ninth. Eventually you will have a holographic video game in your living room and you will be one with the game and your living room will be the CAVE.

Additionally, all the games on your xBox will all be the same game and you can move from one to the next. For instance you can be a football player in a foot ball game and then after the game get into your car and race the streets of Los Angeles. Next you can join the Army and be immersed in a war battle video game or you might drive your car at high-speed to the airport and then fly an aircraft there, take off and go to your destination or have an aerial dog-fight. You see now how you will need only one video game?

How is this technology possible? Well it is already here and it is only a matter of some smart entrepreneur putting it all together and teaming up with Microsoft Gaming. What will you call such an incredible VR Virtual Reality System? Well just call it; IT. Because IT can be anything you want it to be, anytime you want to ditch real life for the Virtual World. Can you see why people will become addicted to that? Consider this in 2006.

PS3 Games Patent

By Carver Tate

Speculations about alleged prohibition of second-hand sales of PS3 games and PS3 consoles have circulated in the past months. These rumors were fueled by market reviews about Xbox 360 consoles beating the Blu-ray-optimized Sony consoles in sales come November. Naturally, the company would employ all measures to maximize individual sales of PS3 games and their new consoles. No confirmation nor denial was heard from the Sony camp, but now, the speculations seem true with the technology patent Sony had procured.

Sony patented a technology - probably, a software - that could prevent use of borrowed PS3 games, rented consoles, and resale of game software and digital hardware. This undisclosed technology was patented five years ago in Japan but Sony had remained quiet about it. Queries about proprietorship are now prevalent, reminiscent of the hullabaloo about Digital Rights Management. Whether the electronics giant attempts to change the concept of ownership in the digital arena or not is not yet clear.

Presently, no information has been released about the software and its uses. But there have been scattered rumors that Sony may incorporate the software in the upcoming PS3 games and consoles. There would be time enough for Sony to address this before the games and consoles' release in November. Market analysts have agreed that it is rare for an electronics and technology company to patent new technology without the intention of using it in their new products. If this is true, then the $1 billion- worth industry of used consoles and games is endangered. Social gaming is also at risk because the new technology might prevent game-sharing. This means that gamers can't come over to their friends' houses to share a new game or simply to play together.

Documents filed by Sony describe a process of game system copy protection. According to the papers, game systems would verify the legitimacy of PS3 games and register the codes to a particular console. Other than this, the verification codes would be deleted after registration, making the discs unreadable in other PS3s. The process will effectively prevent resale of the game discs and console exchanges. Sony had kept other plans and details about the technology but Wedbush Morgan industry analyst, Michael Pachter, suspects that the company is toying with the idea of patented games. Pachter also pointed out that the competition from Microsoft might discourage Sony from tightening software security for game discs. The most likely targets of this new technology are internet-based and downloadable PS3 content like music and movies.

Whatever the electronic giant's plans are, the new technology manifests changing ownership trends when it comes to digital content. Even if gamers buy their consoles at $600 or their PS3 games for $100, they do not own it. They cannot reproduce or share it with their friends because Sony is still the ultimate owner of the software. No matter how much they shell out, they are just buying the license to use the software. Sure, the copy protection patent will make it difficult for pirates to manufacture counterfeit software but it does so at the expense of the gamers. Analysts are right not to put patenting software above Sony because the company was once involved in trouble because of this. It can be recalled that downloaded music from Sony has an accompanying software that installs itself automatically in computers to prevent copying and reproducing files. Though Sony later apologized, the software had already inconvenienced thousands of users. Copy protecting PS3 games would put Sony, the PS3, and the gamers at a disadvantage.

The MMORPG phenomenon: Digital Addiction?

I love to get my hands on good articles concerning Games!!!! Here is yet another article for all you game lovers out there!!

Author: Brendon Kirk

For the uninitiated, MMORPG stands for Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game. The basic premise of these epic online games is that players from around the world converge on servers to do battle against computer driven opponents and often each other. Each server can hold on average up to 5,000 players at a time. It is then no wonder that these servers become home to a unique subculture of players who eat, sleep and breathe these fantasy worlds - sometimes to the detriment of everything else in their life. Countless News articles tell of players whom have forsaken family, friends, jobs and sometimes even their own lives to continue to play. Big companies continue to make money while people’s lives are turned upside down by the constant attention that these types of games demand of their players. So what keeps players coming back every day and why do they pay for the privilege?

As an ex-MMORPG enthusiast I can tell you that the hooks for players are many and varied. For the casual player the level increase and the character statistic boosts associated are your first traps. Knowing that you are only a few hours away from being better at fighting the monsters that haunt your online existence is a very good reason to keep playing. Who wouldn’t want to be 10 points stronger for only a few hours work? The problem with this is that the games designers are always one step ahead of you. Now that you can easily kill the monsters you were struggling with only moments before you leveled up, they are worth virtually no experience points. This means that in order to get to your next level, you will have to go out and find some harder monsters to kill. To someone on the outside of the trap, it is painfully obvious what is happening here - you really haven’t progressed at all. Then why do people keep playing?

Equipment drops. While you are fighting those creatures to get more experience points to go up levels to fight more monsters, they have a chance to drop useful equipment each time you kill them. Unlike the leveling process which is very linear, good equipment can drop at any time but quite often doesn’t. It seems that no matter what equipment drops, there will always be something bigger or better that the player is waiting for. Again, the onlooker can see that this is nothing more than a form of gambling. Granted the cost is only slight in real dollar terms, but the players’ time is the commodity that is spent in this transaction.

The combination of gaining new levels and waiting for equipment to drop can keep a player occupied for weeks on end. So what happens when the player realizes that this is going on and decides that they might be better off doing something a little more productive with their time? The games designers are hoping by this stage that players have made friends in the virtual world with whom they can chat and share their experiences. This makes leaving the game all the more difficult as other people may have grown to rely on the unique skills a certain player can bring to the game. Peer pressure is as alive in MMORPG players as it was in the schoolyard and this can be one of the biggest factors for people to keep playing. When players are in the game for more than a few months they are highly unlikely to give it up due to a combination of all these hooks.

Just like anything else that comes with the risk of addiction; this does not affect the entire gaming population. It is also something that I think we can’t just ignore anymore. There are so many similarities between an MMORPG and any other type of addiction that it’s hard not to become quite worried about people who are caught in this particular trap. You wouldn’t want any of your friends or family to have an uncontrollable problem with alcohol, drugs or gambling, yet we tend to see no immediate harm in someone playing a computer game to excess. With the influx of new players to this genre I think our attitude will have to change towards the ever growing problem of digital addictions before we start to loose too many good people to it.

Powerleveling secrets

A guide from wow gold guides!

Note: Great WOW Money Maker as well...

Greetings and welcome to my grinding strategy. Head to 1K needles to freewind post, Once you
get there goto the base of the mountain right at the elevators, Now from the farthest north
elevator look north-east and you will see a VERY small little crack between the rocks (a small
valley if you will) Go through there and there is a HUGE centaur encampment on the
otherside(SplitHoof Crag). Just grind here, the centaur windcallers (I think) will heal themselfs
or there allies after they drop below 50% health. The scouts are not much, they mainly use
ranged attacks, and the wranglers with ensnare you for 8seconds once they get to 50%
health...

I did this with my my troll shaman, im not sure how well it would work as alliance since this is
an area were alot of horde stay due to quests... But I seemed to be the only one grinding there.
Also if you're in the area the large green flying dragon type things I found to be quite easy to
defeat (sorry I forget their names) and they also skin heavy leather quite regularly. I found this
area in general to be very leveling friendly. Good tip.

If you're in the alliance, and are trying to figure out a way to get down the elevators (hence
past the orc guards) there are two methods.

1. Send your pet in and sacrifice it for the sake of personal progress.
2. Go to the left of the elevators, just out of aggro range. Burst past the guards and attempt to
time the departure of the elevator with your arrival.

The guards get a bit confused when nearing the elevator and don't go on it.........big issue here
is not getting hit. If you get dizzied you're toast.

Download Soul Calibur 3 - Reviews, Tips, and Download

by Eric Martin

The Rundown

The ever-popular weapon-oriented fighting game franchise is back, with new characters, new gameplay modes, and stunning new visuals. Once again, you can choose from dozens of your favorite Soul Calibur characters, select your weapon, and lay the unholy smackdown on your opponents in what I consider to be the most in-depth player-vs-player combat system of any I've ever played. Story mode is about the same as ever, where you can take your character on a path of battles across the land of Soul Calibur 3 in search of information about the evil Soul Edge sword, your ultimate plan for the weapon depending on the good or evil alignment of your character. This time, the actual path you take can end up having more effect on how your story progresses than in any of the past games. As well are the quintessential player-vs-player VS modes, the Gallery for viewing unlockables, and the basic training and practice modes. However, there are now even more intriguing things to discover, including the never-before-seen Custom Character creation feature in which you can take different parts and outfit items and custom-make your own character based upon a class template that defines what weapon- and move-sets the character can choose from. In the all-new Chronicles of the Sword mode, you can utilize this feature to play out an RPG-like campaign that allows you to advance custom characters through experience levels and eventually unlock new parts and movesets for particular classes, as well as earn game currency (Gold) to buy new parts, classes, and other unlockables. The Soul Arena makes its appearance, and allows you to try for more Gold by testing yourself in a selection of unique challenges. Nearly every Soul Calibur character from all of the former games becomes unlockable, excluding of course the bonus platform-exclusive characters of Soul Calibur 2, but also including 3 completely brand new characters with their own styles of butt-kicking.

The Ratings

Concept: The super-popular game franchise makes its return, with more of the same, and a buttload of new stuff. The battle system is tried-and-true, and even a little bit innovated-upon since the last installment in the series. The storyline is pretty much the same as the past couple games, although the timeline has progressed to continue where the more satisfactory character endings of Soul Calibur 2 left off. Bring in a blaze of new features like the custom character creation and the brand new standard characters, and you get yourself an excellent addition to an excellent series. I give the concept of Soul Calibur 3 a very pleased 9/10.

Visual Effects: This game is the best-looking so far out of the series, as well it should be. The characters are smoothly animated and the levels in which you battle are also very animated, and really quite beautiful. Waterfalls, windmills, swaying foliage, and flocks of birds all add to the great atmosphere of the game as you brutally smash the crap out of your opponents. The color palette has never been so wide-ranged, and there isn't a dull color scheme in this game. Even the classic underground tomb levels are semicolorful. I give the visual effects of Soul Calibur 3 a heartfelt 9/10.

Sound Effects: Between the triumphant background music, the vivid and lifelike sounds of the scenery, and the constant quips and bantering of the combatants, Soul Calibur 3 has all you'll ever need for sound effects. It's not what makes this game shine, but there is nothing more you can ask for in a rough-em-up game like this. I give the more than satisfactory sound effects of Soul Calibur 3 a very solid 8/10.

Mechanics: As we've come to expect from the Soul Calibur franchise, the mechanics are absolutely superb. Movement and execution is perfectly fluid, and the innovative battle system that has made the series famous is in its finest form. Whether you're dodging, striking, parrying, or locking your opponent into a vicious attack throw, every move is unique and flawlessly executed, so long as you're skillful enough to make your hits land on an equally skillful opponent. The sheer range of motion and vast arsenal of individual moves and stances is nearly overwhelming, and it's most likely the main thing that keeps fans coming back for more. I give the game mechanics of Soul Calibur 3 a perfect 10/10, and I mean it.

The Bottom Line

Fans of the franchise will not be disappointed, and this game could be the one to draw any number of new players. With more to offer than ever before, Soul Calibur 3 is without a doubt the best of its kind on the market today. It's a proud addition to my personal collection, and every person I've ever spoken with who's played it has absolutely loved it. I strongly recommend this game to anyone who's either an existing fan of the series or simply a fan of medieval-ish personal combat in its best form.

How to Get a Video Game Tester Job

By Nick Destefano

It's true the video game testing industry generates billions of dollars each year according to an outside source. A video game to produce and make takes a lot of time and energy to fully get it complete and live. Programmers consistently work and develop the coding behind the game level by level. During this process, there needs to be people who actually go through each program or module and test to make sure everything is working properly.

This is where the game tester job comes in. Companies eagerly seek people who will diligently test thoroughly new games while they are in the work in progress stage. Being a video game tester is not as easy as many people think. You can't just go to work and play the video games you want all day. Basically you make have to play the same game, same level, and same area of the game for days or weeks straight making sure that every step, move, etc. works properly.

Video game testing can be a tedious job, but the pay is definitely beneficial. Top video game testers make up to $80 per hour which is equivalent to around $200,000 per year. Starting wages for a video game tester can range from around $10 per hour, but that will go up quickly as you begin your video game tester job. Finding out how to get these video game tester jobs is not that easy because of the demand in the industry. You won't find these jobs available on Monster or HotJobs. There are certain websites that provide all the information to access many companies that are looking to hire video game testers.

Aww man this article is awsome for those tryin to make some money gamming! If you know how to really play WOW then learn how to do this and you can make a little extra dough by playin games!

By Chris Yarbrough

Looking to sell your World of Warcraft WoW account? You’re not alone; hundreds of accounts are offered up on eBay every week. Unfortunately, Blizzard has been waging war against the small seller lately, and using eBay’s VeRO policy to have auctions cancelled. Why Blizzard would care to employ someone to specifically target individuals, when large corporations are making millions is a mystery. Regardless, they have chosen to attack players selling on eBay. This guide will show you how to make more money on your World of Warcraft auction, and, dramatically reduce Blizzard’s ability to cancel your auction just before it sells.

The vast majority of accounts for sale on eBay carry some sort of disclaimer. While they may look legal and official, they are not worth your time to “cut and paste”. Keep in mind that what you are really selling is your log in, password, and secret question answer. None of these items are, or could be copyrighted by Blizzard, nor do they violate any intellectual property laws. The only legal recourse Blizzard would have against anyone selling this information, would be to cancel the account. It is highly unlikely that Blizzard could, or would do so. They are in business to make money, and don’t really care where it comes from. Again, don’t bother with the disclaimer, it’s a waste of time, and won’t prevent your auction from being cancelled.

Once you’ve decided to sell your account, the first thing you need is an eBay account which allows access to several key features: Buy it now, one day auction, and best offer. Do not waste your time with seven day auctions. You are just inviting Blizzard to cancel your auction as it nears the end, frustrating everyone who was bidding, and forcing you to relist it and hope people come back and bid. The easiest way to gain access to these features, is to become verified, which costs $5. If you are unable to become verified, you will need to purchase feedback from .01 recipe or ebook sellers, and conform to a few other rules eBay imposes.

If you have an account that is a few days old with zero feedback, don’t get your hopes up. You’ll just be getting a fraction of what you would have received had you taken the time to purchase some feedback or get verified. Basically, you are asking someone to electronically send you money based on a few screen shots, or unverifiable claims. Would you send someone hundreds if their ebay account was 24 hours old? Most people would rather spend more on a lesser account than take the risk.

Once your eBay account allows you to use the buy it now, one day auction, and best offer features, you can use any of the following combinations to max out your purchase price, and, prevent Blizzard from canceling your auction. I suggest the following: three day buy it now with the best offer feature. This does three things; first it gives the buyer a sense of urgency due to time limits, it sets the price bar, and it allows you take offers below your buy out price. You’ll either get an offer you want, a buyout, or the auction will expire, and you relist it. Unless you have to have the money in a rush, be patient. You may need to relist your auction several times, but if it means getting a few hundred more for your account, it's worth the extra expense.

Another strategy is to use one day auctions. This allows for bids, but the 24 hour time limit prevents Blizzard from canceling your auction. Their VeRO request needs to be filed and processed, and by that time your auction is over. The upside to one day auctions is the frequency you can relist them with; every 24 hours. Ebay’s default search feature shows auctions in the order in which they are ending, soonest first. This means your auctions will constantly be at the top of the list, and a buyer must react instantly to get your account.

I do not recommend using the seven or ten day auction. This provides Blizzard with ample opportunity to file a VeRO complaint, and get your auction cancelled. Rest assured, Blizzard’s intent is to wait until you have bidders and make everyone angry by getting the auction canceled.

Following this guide, combined with a detailed and well thought out auction design, will net you hundreds more than the vast majority of sellers. Accounts sell in the $700-1k range all the time, and there’s no reason you can’t get your piece.

Super Mario - Then & Now

By Philip Culver

Each one of us must have heard the name of a game “The Super Mario Bros”. They are one of the most recognizable pairs of video game characters ever created by Nintendo. Although Nintendo came into picture in mid 1980’s and was of course a huge success but the very first Nintendo games didn’t brought the company into headlines.

Still Nintendo couldn’t compete with the other games in the market for the already successful systems like the Atari 2600. Nintendo was famous and become an icon of 1980s entertainment after the release of ‘Super Mario Bros’. It was then when full potential and capability of Nintendo’s first console system was realized.

When I bought my Nintendo Entertainment System Super Mario Bros game was included in its package. The Nintendo had realized the success of the game at first release. I was a great fan of Atari games but was left open mouthed when I saw the graphical and audio improvements seen in Nintendo. The games by Atari had been extremely short with very little depth, but the Super Mario Bros game just kept going and going. The sheer size and scope of the Super Mario Bros game was what really made the Nintendo compete with a large edge with the other competing companies. I was in video game heaven with better graphics, sounds, presentation and depth of the game. It was a whole new gaming experience.

Several Nintendo systems, like the ‘Game cube’ and the ‘N64’ are available and still comes with “Super Mario Bros game” with newer versions of the game that are more enjoyable to play with. Nintendo, a Japanese based company is most benefited by ‘Super Mario Bros’ than any other advertising campaign they may have ever used. Definitely, there are so many new versions of Mario Bros games available in the market today. Including the Super Mario Bros into any game guarantees its success.

Recently, I played Mario Kart series of Super Mario Bros games and became my favorite. These games are fun because they are designed to be played against other players at the same time i.e. these are multiplayer games. Earlier, you could play the original Super Mario Brothers games with more than one player, but not simultaneously making it a problem for two or more to play at the same time. The other player had to wait for your friend’s player to die so you could have your turn. But in new version, “Mario Kart” gaming has a new experience as now you can play with several at the same time.

Rumors on PS3 Games

Author, Carver Tate

Rumors have been spreading around the internet about PS3 Games having copyrights. This means that consumers cannot re-sell the games that they already own, ergo, they cannot buy cheaper second hand games. It's really no surprise that rumors with this kind of nature spread around quickly. But the fact that it did spread around and that people talked about it, only tells something about the possible reaction of people, in case the issues are true. To even things out however, Sony has denied the rumors about the illegal re-selling of PS3 Games.

Aside from the fact that the retail price of the game console itself has been stirring up consumers who are anxiously waiting for its release, price issues about the PS3 Games itself are also being talked about.

Critiques are expecting that since Japanese released PS2 games have been selling for around $75, they are expecting that PS3 Games would come at a higher price. It would only be natural to expect that this would be the case. Sony has made a lot of efforts to raise the quality of the new product. This is of course, only their natural response to the upcoming competition from Microsoft. However, they would also have to make a lot of consideration as regard the pricing of the games. If PS2 games have been selling for about $75, should consumers expect that PS3 Games would be sold at least around $80-85. In addition to this, high-end games would definitely be a little more over that.

Another rumor surrounding the release of this new gaming console is that hard drives would not be included in some models of the PlayStation 3. This means that people would not be able to play high-end PS3 Games that feature HD quality. This has also been one of the key issues regarding the upcoming release.

High-end PS3 Games require a 60Gb hard drive to be able to function. Estimates have been predicted that the hard drive itself could easily cost around $100. With rumors that Sony would be struggling with the $400 pricing of the game console, an additional $100 dollars to the price could prove to be detrimental. Past game consoles that exceeded the $400 range did not perform as well in the market, compared to those which stayed below this mark. It seems people would not want to spend higher than 400 on the video games. The bigger question is that with the introduction of HDTV these days, would people who are familiar with the difference in viewing they would get from it, pay another $100 just to get better video quality?

Oh well! We could all be certain that rumors about PS3 Games and the console itself would continue to be around until it is actually released. I wonder why people cannot have enough patience to just wait and see how much these things would cost, and whether PS3 Games would be copyright protected. It's also good though, that people are able to talk about something while they're not doing anything and are still waiting for the upcoming release.

Devil May Cry 3 Review

By Matthew Boyd

Developed by Capcom, which is famous for such Titles as Resident Evil, Street Fighter and my personal favourite Megaman. The first Devil May Cry was released in 2001 and ever since has gained a huge reputation as the sword & gun kick ass bloodlust demon slaying death defying game.

Now that the third in the DMC series is out the game has had time to be fine tuned and ways have been found to take out the annoying bits for example the camera angle has been fixed, a wider selection of moves has been put in and your demon slaying arsenal has been upgraded. Unlike the second DMC this game was hugely successful as you only have one character and the awesome story line has been told from before the begging, that’s right this game is the prequel to them all, but is also the best of them all.

At the start you see the infamous Dante sitting in his chair eating pizza when he his visited by some bald guy who delivers a message from Dante’s brother Vergil, next thing you know Dante’s attack by demons and starts to kick some serious ass in a cut scene before letting you have a try at it. If you didn’t already know Dante is a half human half demon person, at first he looks like an ordinary guy but when you see him fight he aint so ordinary any more. About half way through the game you’ll get to see Dante turn into a demon for a short time and also use this ability in battle.

The battles in the game are virtually tireless as just as you think your getting bored another weapon is handed to you and you can unleash yet another devastating combo. The storyline is pretty unbelievable as well what could be better than Dante wanting to stop his Evil twin brother Vergil from opening the gate into the demon world and absorbing their fathers demon powers?

Boydies Overall Score - 10/10

World of Warcraft Power Leveling vs Wow Accounts

Some More Wow for the fans out there! This was another article I have found pretty interesting!!

Author, Ruibo Chen

There are many advantages and disvantages to buying a World of Warcraft powerleveling or a used World of Warcraft account. They both serve similar purposes in which you can start playing at a much higher level rather than starting fresh at level 1.

If you buy a WoW power leveling session you are basically just hiring players to level up your character in which can save you time. Power leveling sessions are really cheap, normally alot less than the $5/hr minimum wage offered in the US because most of the workers who are leveling are based in China. Not only that but they normally are able to level faster than the average player considering they have workers rotating shifts along with many many practices in the game. One of the best part of leveling a brand new character is that you will have a fresh reputation of the character and you would be able to name the character as you like. You can even have the character trained the way you want as well. The disadvantage of a WoW power leveling session is that during the session you wouldn't be able to log on and play the character until its been completed. So for a little downtime you get to have your character at the level you want at next to maximum speed.

Buying a used World of Warcraft account is very similar to power leveling. The advantage is that your character will likely be geard with some nice equipment and you won't need to spend the time waiting for the character to be leveled. It's a faster option of power leveling. But unlike power leveling, you won't have some privileges if you buy a used account such as naming the character with what you want and training the character the way you prefer. Along with that you may have to live with the reputation that the previous owner lived up to. It may be good but not always. It's a little risk that comes with it.

Both methods are great, as for pricing, I would think a used account would cost less since. Power levelers usually have their own rate as to a player quitting the game and selling their account. If you prefer to have a more fresh start, go with power leveling. If you prefer the speed then a used account would be optional but of course you would need to spend the time finding the account as well.

World of Warcraft Gold Guide

World of Warcraft has been one of the most popular searches in this site so I am gathering that all you Warcraft fans out there wouldn mind seeing more heree at welikegames! I am going to do my best to get all of the warcraft resources up at this site as possible so please check back but for now take a look at this gold guide I found!

Author: Ruibo Chen

Having enough Gold in World of Warcraft is one of the most important aspects of the game. Gold has a major effect on your game play. Gold of course has their common known usage in a mmorpg game which is used to buy and sell items from vendors and other players. In world of Warcraft, gold can be used for training. To learn new skills you are required to pay the trainer a fee. Alot of gold would be required to perfect your character. Here are some tips to help you farm World of Warcraft Gold.

Grabbing a profession early in the game can most definitely have its advantage. You are able to level up your profession easily and gain its benefits. 2 professions we highly suggest starting with is mining and skinning. As you kill animals and other creatures in World of Warcraft you can easily skin the animals and sell them to vendors or other players with a nice load sum of profit. You are also leveling your profession as well. While you're out leveling your character I'm sure you will kill a numerous amount of mobs that you can skin. The mining profession is another great profession. You will oftenly run into caves which may have some very prosperious mineral ores. Some minerals are very popular in the game and are highly demanded.

Questing in World of Warcraft is unlike any other MMORPG released. Quests are one of the biggest advantages you can have in the game. While you're out leveling grab a quest each time you get. Only takes a matter of seconds. Not only will you receive EXP from killing the mobs in the quest but you will also gain additional EXP from completing the quest along with some nice items and money. A great bonus added to help players level faster and get richer of course.

Gears in World of Warcraft can get quite expensive. Alot more expensive than just training. From levels 1-40 I highly suggest not investing any money on buying gears or items. Low level characters are not too gear dependent. The quests should be able to provide you just about everything you need. Save the extra gold you have for higher level gears.

Certain types of mobs tend to have better drops than others. From what we've noticed so far, humanoids tend to drop more gold and items than any other creature in the game. So while you're out leveling away, try to kill as many humanoids as you can.

Rome Total War: Battle Strategy Guide

Another great article on one of my favorites!!

Author: Tony James

A. Formations
It’s pretty much common sense to come up with a good formation for your army but the basic idea in most situations is to have your infantry in front, ranged units behind, cavalry protecting the flanks and your general right behind the infantry. Having the general next to your infantry boosts their morale. If you have larger numbers than the enemy, it’s usually a good idea to spread your formation so you can surround the enemy.

B. Flanks and Rear
The flanks and rear of any army are its most vulnerable points. By placing cavalry on the side you can help protect your flanks. When facing an enemy, always try to attack its flanks or rear with your army, especially your cavalry. A cavalry charge to the rear can devastate any unit and lower its morale. When facing an army unit such as Greek hoplite phalanx, you must use the slow speed of the enemy to your advantage to flank the opponent. The Phalanx is particularly vulnerable anywhere except the front. One tactic that seems to work is to slowly flank the enemy is to form your troops in a slight half circle so you can slowly surround your enemy. Never let your infantry become isolated, try to keep them in formation in a line so they dont feel like they are being surrounded.

C. Morale
The morale of your troops is the most important aspect of a battle. If your troops are surrounded they will lose morale and try to escape in a rout. Try to prevent this and use this to your advantage by surrounding troops whenever possible. Showering arrows on the enemy army lowers its morale Also, launching a surprise attack on an unprotected side has the same effect. Having enemy generals near your troops lowers their morale slightly, this is also true of your general and enemy troops. Keep in mind that more experienced troops have higher morale. New troops will most likely rout if your general flees.

All units on the battlefield know who is winning the battle by observing their surroundings. If they see any unit or a general fleeing, they are more likely to flee. Use this to your advantage; if you have a unit surrounded and they are routing, let them flee rather than let them fight their hardest to get out of their situation. Once other enemy units have seen them, mow them down with your cavalry to show the other army who is the boss.

D. Unit strengths
Each of the different unit types is vulnerable to another type. Cavalry is vulnerable to frontal spear attacks. Light Infantry is vulnerable to cavalry and Heavy infantry is also vulnerable to side attacks from cavalry but is effective in hand to hand combat. Artillery is good offensively against almost any unit but is extremely weak defensively and dies quickly after a head on attack.

Elephants are a great unit against infantry and lower the morale of enemy troops. They can be supressed by a large number of ranged units and scare tactics such as incendiary pigs. Your Elephants may also turn and attack your own troops in which case you have the option of using the special ability where your rider executes them.

Archers are very effective against light troops and mounted archers are a good way to harass enemy troops. Always keep archers them away from the infantry and cavalry. Put them behind your infantry when the enemy is close and protect them with your cavalrywhen necessary. If you have the opportunity to flank the enemy using archers, make sure you take off skirmish mode and attack, you will catch the enemy off guard. When the enemy is far away put the archers in the front to shoot arrows as the enemy approaches then bring them behind.

E. Fatigue
Your units will slowly or quickly get fatigued based on their actions. Use this to your advantage by forcing attacking armies to march to you and by running only when necessary.

F. Terrain
Use the terrain to your advantage. When fighting near or in a forest, lure the enemy and launch surprise attacks. Place one or two units out in the open while you hide the rest of your army in the forests. However, remember that archers perform poorly near trees. Also, remember that generals are not hidden in forests. When you are fighting on a map with a slope, try to control the higher ground and avoid an uphill battle. Units move very slowly when marching uphill and attack much less effectively; the opposite is true downhill. If you have the option to wait out the battle and the weather doesn’t suit your army, wait until the weather changes. Some units are better suited to certain weather condtions than others. Read unit descriptions to find out more details about each units ideal figting conditions. Some terrain such as mountains is impassible to your armies. Try to find an alternate route. Certain choke points such as bridges are important strategic locations. Defending a bridge is much easier than defending on an open plain. You can also hide your whole army on the campaign map in a wooded area to launch surprise attacks on an enemy army.

G. After they flee
When the enemy starts to flee, continue the battle rather than end it so you can use your cavalry and attack dogs to run over the fleeing enemies. You can gain more experience for your units this way. Using your general's cavalry to run over routing units is a quick way to gain experience and skills for the general.

H. Attacking with multiple armies
Whenever possible, try to attack with multiple armies by surrounding the terrain around the enemy with your forces. When one of your armies is adjacent, the AI is in control of the army and helps in the fight. Any type of reinforcement usually helps win the battle but be wary of the AI poorly managing your valuable Generals and armies.

How to Copy a DVD to PSP

Just got my psp a few days ago and so far so good. One of the most asked questions I found was this one. So I did some research, and here is a cool article I found!

Author: Travis Sago

Have you figured out how to copy a dvd to your PSP? Many folks know it can be done but are confused on how to do it. I know I really struggled at first.

I am going to give you my quick and easy recipe to copy any DVD to PSP. There are only a few steps and it is a cinch on you know how.

First like any recipe...You have your ingredients:

512 MB Pro Duo Stick (This is what holds your movie files)

DVD Player installed in your computer

DVD Ripper (Software that pulls the movie from the DVD to your computer)

PSP Video Converter (Software that converts movie and video files to MP4 format that you watch on your PSP.) (Note: There is software that has both the DVD Ripper and Converter combined)

USB Cable

1. Load your DVD and fire up your DVD ripper select the movie or video you want to put on your PSP and hit the "extract" or "rip" button. Tell it where you want to save the file to.

2. If you already have movie and/or video files on your pc then all you need to do is hit "add" from your DVD ripper and tell it where you want to save the file to.

3. Select the file that you saved to your computer and hit the "extract and/or encode" button and save that file.

3. If you have DVD Ripper/PSP Video converter combo software...You can combine steps 1,2 and 3.

At this point you have the files on your PC...and they are in the correct format.

4. How to download or transfer your new mp4 file to PSP? Just connect your PSP with your PC with the USB cable, and Create a folder on your Memory Stick called "MP_ROOT." and create a sub-folder called "100MNV01." under it. Copy your MP4 files to this location (no need to copy the .HTM files).

5. Now on your PSP go to video and memory stick and watch your movie!

Orrery Download for Oblivion!

I downloaded the new mission for oblivion tonight and beat it in about 30 minutes. I think the experience was good but, not worth 200 points to purchase. Bethesda should have given this download away for free in my opinion. The adventure starts out with a letter you have received form the caretaker of the Orrery in the imperial city. Some bandits have stolen the parts to make the Orrery work. Who do they call to fix that problem? You guessed it.

You start out to the north of Kvatch. The first camp,” Camp Ales" you square off against a Bandit carrier and a Bandit Hedge Wizard. They were pretty easy to beat. Just block and counter and the fight will be over quickly. My character is level 12 and the bandit carrier seemed to dispense all the good stuff. She drops a Mace of Dissolution and that about it. There are four more of these camps, Camp Varus, Camp Bodean, Camp Dagay, and Camp Brotch. All of these are about the same, kill the bandits and get the stolen part from the bandit carrier. On the way to Camp Dagay I notice a small lake with a skeleton and a chest, no real treasure just thought it was kind neat, also pick a nirnroot at that lake. One other note, careful when kill the bandits in the grass some items tend to disappear in the tall grass.

Once you have completed that part of the quest, return the parts to the imperial city. Once the Orrery is active (which is the coolest part of the whole side adventure), you will be reward with the Masser's Grace Spell (Fortify Agility 20 pts for 60 secs, Drain Endurance 20 pts for 60 secs, cast once a day. Thanks for reading.

How to defeat lord Kazzak easily outdoor raid boss!

I have had alot of good responses with some of the warcraft content so here are some free guids I picked up from World of Warcraft Gold Free Guides

When you first enter the instance, enter through the right door (not the left). This throws you in the center of the courtyard clear of most mobs. This first spot where you enter is where you are going to pull to.

Big tree mobs will be patrolling by. They hit very very hard. You want to pull them to the corner as they knock you back -- better to hit the wall than pull another big guy. You need to take out 2-3 big guys. Don't bother trying to clear them all.. the repop pretty regular.

After clearing a hole to run across, run to the center of the courtyard, being careful to not pull any of the mobs there or be close enough to pool the big tree patrols. If you are brave, you can clear none of the pats and just run straight to the center.

Now you are in the middle of the courtyard, near the pylon with the elementals. These pylons are the objective of the instance... clear the elementals and the 5 pylons power down, releasing the forcefield around Immol'thar.

The elementals can be pulled 2-3 at a time to clear all around the pylon. Warlock can banish one as necessary. As these guys die, they steal whatever mana you have and inflict damage... be careful! They also get very cast happy the more health they lose. They must be killed as quickly as possible.

Now continue running across the courtyard to far right. This will lead you down a narrow walkway and open to a room of undead on your right. Your goal is to get up the stairs. Kill the farthest right ghost mob, hitting the female ghost first. She inflicts the most dmg via a "bone" something or other aura... it is a melee hardhitting aura. Cloth/Leather wearers should try to stay back from these ghosts as they inflict crazy dmg.

This next part is up to you. You can keep clearing the first floor and clear the caster bosses (Magister Kalendris and Tsu'zee) for drops. I don't have much experience with these two, so I won't offer up any advice. I recall them hitting casters pretty hard for 900hp or so.

If you don't clear the bottom floor, clear the right-most mob of 3 and sneak past the one ghost by the stairs. Proceed upstairs and you want to head left. You will find a couple casters standing there... nothing special and pretty easy to clear. Continue clearing/running along the left wall towards the pylon (2nd one). Clear the elementals as before, deactivating the pylon. Now you see a bunch of skeletons. Have the tank aggro and AoE away.

Now go right down the bridge/walkway to the quest giver, Shen'dralar Ancient. He gives you "Madness Within", the quest for killing Immol, the Prince and the deactivating pylons. Continue past him to the next pylon (#3), clear as necessary until it deactivates.

You should now see the next boss, Illyanna Ravenoak just past the pylon, patrolling. She hits very hard via ranged hunter attacks. The bear swipes for 500-800dmg per swing. Sleep/Polymorph/(??Fear??) the bear as necessary while you take her out. She has far range and hits hard... casters be careful of aggro or you will die.

Now run back the way you came to downstairs out by the first courtyard. In the middle (same side as the ghosts) is a downward slope to Tendris Warpwood. He is fairly easy... just slightly harder than the big trees in the beginning.

Go past him and enter the door just to your right using your Crescent Key. Watch for invis ghost mobs down this hall. Proceed until you see the arcane/storm elementals. I recommend clearing one mob but it is up to you. They hit very very hard. Warlock should curse of doom/banish the big guy... his arcane storm cast will wipe your group in just a few seconds. Kill the little guys first (9K hp or so). Then solo big guy.

If you decide to not clear one group, have hunter give you aspect of pack. Run left along the wall until you come to the 4th pylon. Just before the pylon is a stone pillar by the wall... anywhere between this pillar and the pylon/elementals is your safe zone. You are now clear of all storm elementals. Clear the pylon as before.

Now run back the way you came to the hallway. When it is clear, continue running right to the second hallway. You are safe for a while. Proceed along through the library. Talk to whoever you like. Quest endings for the Warlock/Druid/etc books are here... all the quests say "Return to the rightful owner" and give you a nice trinket. They are random DM drop quests. You will also find a NPC to repair/sell items. The prince is in here, but currently neutral. He turns nasty after you clear the last pylon and kill Immol'thar.

Run back to where the arcane/storm elementals are. Now you want to keep running right along the wall to the next pylon. Stay between the pillar and pylon, pulling the elementals til you clear the last and 5th pylon. Now the shield around Immol'thar drops. Run through the pylon to the center of the area, watching for the passing patrols running from your right to left. Don't worry about aggroing Immol as you have plenty of room in the arena.

Immol is very very tough. He has approx 35K hp or so and hits very very hard for 500-800hp. Casters be very wary of aggro, cause you don't want him hitting you. Every few seconds a eyeball will drop. These eyeballs focus on you and throw you up in the air, taking damage when you smack the ground hard. One person in group should be dedicated to killing these eyeballs (900hp or so). As you are fighting him and people in your group die, it is imperative to keep moving around. The eyes are less likely to focus on you. A few times I have been the last one standing... Immol had 10K of hp and about 5 eyeballs chasing me. I just kept running in a big circle and casting away at him til he dropped... this strategy will by you an extra 20-30
secs before you die. He will hit you but you can use potions, to keep blasting him.

Now run back to the Prince in the library, clearing as necessary. Main tank should stand in the corner with the other players grouped close by. The tank gets knocked back into the wall, and with the other players closeby he should be able to regain aggro fairly easily.

NOTE: If you are a warlock getting your epic mount, do the following after killing Immol'thar. Read all of this information before starting...

You need approx 14-16 soul shards. The 3 floating items that are part of the ceremony offer up different buffs. You must use your Lodestone to reactivate them when they are clickable (right click when you see the widget/gear). Have other party members help you keep an eye out saying "candle", "bell", "clock" to let you know when they go out.

During the ceremony, all party members must stay within the circle to be benefited by the circle buffs. J'eevee's Jar starts the ceremony. You should have a imp demon out at this point. This lets everyone in your group start out with extra stamina. You will start seeing a bunch of demon imps running to the center. They hit you for 1hp or so... not a big deal. This keeps happening with the occasional doomguard entering. At some point you want to ditch the imp and enslave one of the doomguards. Always kill doomguards first as the imps hit for little to no damage. The ceremony continues for 5 mins or so (seems like forever) and climaxes with about 4 doomguards at once. If you have a doomguard enslaved, release him and he will
disappear (no need to kill).

Everyone in the group should enjoy the trippy blue colors whirling around you AND rest up. No need to hurry... rest completely and take your time. Now you want to summon the Lord and the dreadsteed using your Xorothian Glyphs. After some time of fighting the DreadSteed, a Dreadlord spawns. Continue killing the Steed and then finish the Dreadlord. You only need to kill the steed to complete your quest. If you think you might die, run over and talk to the steed's spirit to get your new horsey. If you wipe before doing so, ghost run it back and talk to the horse spirit for quest completion.

World of Warcraft Gold Guide

A few friends of mine thought that this article would be very helpful to allot of people so after a while I decided to put it up! I don't really play warcraft so let me know how helpful or informative this is!

By Ruibo Chen

Umbra Quest and other Unique Quests from Oblivion

more oblivion stuff for the fans out there!!!

By Ian Austin

I have composed a list of unique quests that I have completed during my time on oblivion. There are a few spoilers so read with caution. When more unique quests are available I will update in another article. Thanks for reading.

A Brush of Death

This quest is one of the most unique quests I have encountered in oblivion. I don’t want to ruin the ruin the quest so I will just give the starting point. The quest is named “a Brush of Death”. First visit the city of Cheydinhal and talk to a lady named Tivela Lythandas. To get to her house enter the west gate and turn right and walk till you get to a large statue look to the left her house is the first one on the right. She will tell you that her husband has disappeared and the last time she saw him he was painting in his room. When you open the door the quest will begin.

Umbra Sword

The umbra sword is one of the best swords in the game. The location of the sword is very easy to get to, but the woman holding the sword is another problem. Head southwest of Imperial city to a dungeon named Vindasel. There are not that many dangers in the dungeon, mostly rats and very simple traps to slow your progress. Woman holds the umbra and she is very tough to stop. You will have to attack her because, she will not attack you. Personal I could not take any damage off of her (level 9). The only way I could defeat her was to slide the difficulty bar sown to easy. She will drop the umbra sword and (at my level) ebony armor. There is also I rumor that she will drop glass armor at the lower levels. Getting this sword early will save you a lot of time leveling up you character.

Treasure: Umbra Sword

Ebony or Glass Armor

Lifting the Vale

I was walking around the town of Bruma and a man named Tolgan walks up and tells me Lady Carvain is looking for someone to complete a quest for her. That’s how I started the quest, but you may be able to just talk to her in the castle of bruma to start the quest. The castle is on the north side of the city. In the quest”Lifting the Vale,” Lady Carvain is in search of the Dracion Madstone. She says that a group of soldiers went looking for it and never returned. She gives you a couple of clues to help you on your quest. The first clue is a diagram that leads you to Pale Pass. The second clue is a translation of an Adair dairy. If you read though the diary it first mentions Dragon claw rock. Head north on the eastern road until it dead ends and there is Dragon claw rock. The next landmark is the sentinel. Head due west and you run right into a huge statue. The sentinel is facing due north walk in the direction the statue is facing. The legend says he faces that way to say I have my eye on anyone trying to crossover the northern border. The serpents trail leads to pale pass and then to the akaviri fort. On your way to the fort you will encounter several Pale Pass trolls. These guys are big and slow. I hit them and back off (stick and move method). Once you make your way though the fort you will encounter many other Pale Pass trolls. You must kill the commander of akaviri fort. Once you have killed to the commander the door directly behind him will open to reveal the Dracion Madstone.

Treasures: Grand soul Gem

Grand Ring of Ageis- Shield 18% self (not sure if this is random)

Ring of the ViperEye- resist magic 10%

How to get the Skeleton Key in Oblivion for Xbox 360

People seem to really like info on oblivion so here is some more stuff I have dug up!

By Ian Austin

Are you tired of breaking lockpicks in Oblivion? I have the answer to your problems. At level 10, you can obtain a Skeleton Key. This key does not break and it will also increase your security skill by 40 points. Once you have obtained level 10, go to the shirne of Nocturnal.

To get to the shrine, go to the city of Leyawiin and take the eastern road to the north. Keep an eye out for a bunch of people standing around, also look for the sign that says "County Kvatch". Take the bridge to the shrine and talk with the shrine. She will give you a quest to find the Eye of Nocturnal. First thing you need to do after you get the quest is to spy on a couple of thieves in Leyawiin. They will give you all the information you need on finding the right cave. In the dungeon, you will have to fight or sneak past a bunch of trolls. These guys are pretty tough but, the reward is well worth your trouble.

Once you retrieve the Eye take it back to the shrine and she will reward you with the skeleton key. I hope this guide helps you in all your quests.

The Nintendo Revolution May Need More Than Flash Memory

Author, Ron Swerdfiger

Koei's Kenji Matsuhara, an executive in charge of the Dynasty Warrior shared his thoughts on next gen consoles during a speech at the Asia Online Game Conference 2006 in Tokyo. In his speech, Matsuhara offered his opinion on the Nintendo Revolution.

Matsuhara seemed to express some disappointment in respect to Nintendo's choice to use flash memory instead of a hard disk. His biggest concern with this format is of course the lack of available space noting that "a full 3D MMORPG (massively multiplayer Online RPG) may not fit."

In order to be successful in the next gen gaming, online features are becoming increasingly important. Regarding Nintendo’s online plan, Matsuhara suggested that the DS Online plan could be a possible hint at what we can expect from the Nintendo Revolution.

By comparison, the Xbox 360 has a 20GB hard drive which is shipped with the more expensive premium bundles

Considering we no next to nothing about the games being developed for the Revolution, the issues of Flash Memory remains to be seen. If there is an issue with available space, perhaps Nintendo will offer an external memory solution, or opt to change the flash format all together?

Hopefully, by The E3 in May, all of these questions will be answered.

World of Warcraft Power Leveling Guide

Author, Steven Golden

This is the method the power levelers have used since closed beta and I finally got one of them to give it up. It is by no means the way to go if you want to maximize your experience in the game as this method will bypass almost all the content in the game and essentially ignore many of the fun, unique aspects of WoW. This is not recommended for new players and is meant for players who already have experienced the content and just want to level up an alt to play with their level 60 friends (ie. your level 60 instance group needs a priest and there are no priests to be had). As a benchmark to how successful you are with this, download cosmos (Cosmos) and use the clock feature to measure your xp/hour. At level 50 you should be getting about 40,000+/hour.

1-20: Newbie lands, stick to the friendly zones (not contested). Just grind. The quests are a waste of time up to level 20 if you are focusing on maxing out xp per hour. 20-26: Wetlands quests and raptors/slime/orcs for grinding. Redridge mountain Lakeshire quests.

26-30: Duskwood quests and undead for grinding. Hillsbrad critter roamers for grinding.

30-35: Did these all in a day on Daggerspines in Hillsbrad right next to Southshore along the coast. Huge spawn, very fast respawn rate, easy mobs to kill. Purgation isle (island in the very far Southwest water area of Hillsbrad) also a nice secluded place you can grind on undead.

36-40: Hillsbrad southshore quests. Desolace quests and kodo grinding for 36-38, then Undead Ravagers in the southeast for 38-40. Cresting exiles at the circle of outer binding in Arathi also for 37-41; extremely easy mobs with a fast respawn. Alterac ogres from 35-40 for grinding. Drywhisker kobolds in Arathi east of Hammerfall for 36-39 for grinding.

41-45: Hinterlands trolls, owl beasts, and wolves for grinding and quests. Badlands ogres, gnolls, and quests.

45-48: Tanaris quests and pirates on the eastern paninsula for grinding. Stranglethorn vale quests (only if you need rewards imo). Badlands greater elementals for grinding.

48-52: Felwood deadwood gnolls for grinding and quests from the sanctuary in the south. Blasted lands dreadmauls for grinding. Un'goro crater (best started at 50) for primarily quests and grinding off the plants and tar elementals. Azshara undead highbornes and thunderhead hyppogriffs for grinding.

52-55: Azshara blood elves for grinding. Burning steppes dreadmaul rock ogre caves firegut ogres (very low AC) for grinding. Felwood irontree woods and cave for grinding (great spot). Western plaguelands questing for argent dawn and grinding on undead throughout the various camps.

55-58: Eastern plaguelands quests from the sanctuary, grinding on undead at the ruined towns. Winterspring grinding at winterfall village or Lake Kel'Theril undead highbornes (my personal favorite camp). Blackrock Stronghold in Burning Steppes for grinding.

58-60: "The" yeti cave in Winterspring, due Southeast of Everlook (very nice place). Grosh Gok compound ogres in Deadwind pass (great spot, no one knows about it). Eastern plaguelands Fungal Vale undead grinding and argent dawn token farming. Moonowls in northeast winterspring for grinding.

Halo 2 Multiplayer Tips for Beginners and Advanced players

Author, Tony James

Here are some general tips from an advanced player for all of you who are looking for an edge in this game. You may know some or all the things in this article depending on your skill level. Even if you are an expert player this article should help you remember the fundamental that make you a good player. This article focuses on individual fighting tips, perhaps a future article will address team strategy.

Weapon Combos:

From close range you can hit for a lot more damage when holding two weapons. From a distance, the battle rifle is the weapon of choice if you cannot get your hands on a sniper rifle. My favorite combo for quick kills is the plasma rifle/smg combo and the pistol/smg combo. If you aim at the opponents head and they don’t aim at your head, like most people, they will be wondering how they died so fast. The plasma rifle combo is better against multiple opponents and the pistol is more effective against single opponents. This is because the pistol runs out of ammo quickly. If you can find a plasma pistol, the plasma pistol/smg combo is not bad, but it leaves you vulnerable if you miss the charged shot or if there are multiple opponents.

Plasma Pistol/Battle Rifle:

This in my opinion is the ultimate combo. If you are at close to medium range, hit them with the plasma pistol and shoot them in the head with the battle rifle. At long range, pick them off with the battle rifle. This is a frustrating combo to fight against when the opponent is good. This is one of the reasons you see a lot of Human Slayer games now.

Grenades:

This is one of the things that separate good players from weaker ones. It takes a lot of practice to become an expert with grenades, but it is one of the easiest ways to kill someone. Use common sense, throw the grenade where the player will be not where they are right now. If you see someone running towards you, backup behind a wall and throw a grenade in their path. If you are surrounded, try to get off two grenades and you will sometimes get several kills. If you hit someone with a frag grenade, and you hit them in the head with a battle rifle, they die in one shot.

Melee:

If you are shooting someone and you can walk up to them, melee them if you can. Sometimes it is better to back up rather than melee. For example if you are dual wielding and did not get the first shot off against a single wielder, back off so you kill him rather than get meleed. Don’t forget that you lunge slightly when you melee, so use that to your advantage.

Where to walk:

Try to flank people as much as possible. For example if you are on top of big base sniping and you see someone on the radar coming up, look through or jump through the hole behind you and take them out. On ivory tower, if you are at the top and see someone coming from dark side, jump down a level and flank them. Do not run into rooms with more than one enemy, let them come to you or weaken them with grenades first, it is much easier to kill them that way.

Summary: The #1 tip I can give you is to aim for the head no matter what weapon you are using, except the shotgun. You will kill them a lot faster. Other than that, learn the maps and the weapon combos that work best in different situations.
